With a great excitement, we again set off for our congress 2020. We prepared a full scientific and social program for UNEKO 28 which will be held in Antalya between April 1-5,2020. It will be a great honour for us to see you in our congress where we compete with ourselves every year and aimed to do better.
The great interest to our pre-congress courses in previous years encouraged us to organize many new courses for this year. Nutrition, which is one of the most important topics in neonatal intensive care will be reviewed in all aspects within the course of "Practical Nutrition Course in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit". Another course, "Management of Extremely Low Birth Weight Infants from Birth to Discharge" will provide helpful and clear recommendations to physicians who take care of these challenging babies. "Continuous Renal Replacement Therapies (CRRT)" will be another new course that aims to ensure the application of CRRT correctly. The course of "Stabilization in Delivery Room" aims to discuss all current and standard practices for every situation that can be encountered in the delivery room. The last new course that's planned to be organized is "Legal Problems and Solutions in Neonatal Intensive Care Units and Follow-up". We believe that this course that's managed by the experienced experts with real case presentations will be of a great interest to all participants, including the issues of parental information, documentation, malpractice, complications and ethical problems. As neuromonitorization course was very attractive for all participants last year, we updated it as "Neuromonitorization and Neuroimaging in the Newborn" this year. We also improved our indispensable non-invasive ventilation course by adding respiratory monitorization as Non-invasive Ventilatory Support and Respiratory Monitorization" course. Similarly, new topics have been added to "Advanced Mechanical Ventilation Course with Case Presentations". We also maintain the "Neonatal Nursery" course with new updates.
After the courses are completed, our scientific feast will begin in 3 different halls for 3 days. Our foreign guests of this year are the real stars of their fields. We'll have a chance to listen high-level lectures by Alan Jobe, Patrick McNamara, Maximo Vento, Nikki Robertson and Asım Kurjak. Additionally we will have an important step with the "Consultation with the Expert" panel in which the foreign speakers will come together and share their practical approaches to patients. We selected interesting topics for panel, forum, concise, practical approach to newborn and pro-con sessions that you can not decide which one you prefer apart from the opening and satellite conferences. We also prepared a senior-level scientific program for our nenatal nurses that will last for 3 days in a seperate hall.
To increase the scientific motivation of all health care professionals who are interested in neonatal medicine, especially our young participants, several awards will be given during the congress. These awards will be given to best oral presentations, best contraversial posters, case presentations and best research projects. We will also select the best published article of the last year. We will conduct the scholarship exam for our young neonatologists such as the last two years. This year we will organize our congress at Kaya Palazzo Hotel, which provides a high standard of accommodation for all of our participants, as well as extensive meeting and course hall facilities. We are also designing the social program as ambitious as the scientific program. We believe that our suprises at congress evenings will make you happy.
I invite you to UNEKO 28 in which we add our love, labor and sincerity and where you will find what you are looking for in terms of scientific and social aspects.
